Bio

Dom Perez is a passionate and energetic musician with dwarfism who is originally from suburban Georgia but is now based in Nashville, Tennessee. He’s had a natural sense of rhythm from a young age, and has been pursuing music as a drummer for over a decade.

His beginnings in music began at a local music school in his hometown called Music Authority. There he did years of private lessons for years, not just in drums but in vocals and piano as well; along with that he was a part of various rock bands and played a plethora of gigs around North Georgia. He worked closely with his music directors, giving him the opportunities that led him to Belmont University in Nashville, where he is currently finishing his degree in Commercial Music studying percussion. His hometown rock influences mixed with the immersion of the Nashville country scene have only strengthened his adaptability and versatility in any genre he plays.

His main project is his band The Collars, a rock band that fuses a diverse range of styles such as funk, jazz, pop, and surf rock to create a unique groovy experience. Along with that, he plays with a plethora of other Nashville-based artists and groups, as well as around downtown Nashville on Broadway at various Honky-Tonks and bars. He’s played countless shows, ranging from intimate coffee shop jams to professionally-produced arena-style shows, including Belmont University’s Hip-Hop/RnB Showcase in 2024.

Dom lives his life constantly surpassing the expectations of his peers and his audiences, and continues to break barriers that fuel his drive to succeed. He uses music not only to showcase his skills and talents, but also to connect with people and uplift them through his rhythm. He refuses to let anyone or anything hold him back as he strives towards his goal of leaving his mark on the music industry and the world.
